Eulogy for a Dead King
Description: The thick forests and rushing streams of Hylandale are home to many mysteries and beauties of nature.
Government: Matriarchy, the elven queen, Sylvia is a druid who has lived a hundred lifetimes, she never ages. In the unlikely event that she should perish one of her many daughters would claim the throne.
Capital: N/A The Hylandale elves don’t have a capital, but the ruins of the former human civilization Fairmoor, now house a giant oak that destroyed the civilization, this serves as home to the Queen.
Tree of Knowledge: This massive ent, walks through the forest spreading its wisdom to whomever wants to sit down and listen. His words seem confusing, even nonsensical, to the average man, but some scholars say that this tree speaks with great wisdom.
Oak Peak: A high Cliff with a tree branching out toward the sun, precariously perched on high. A gathering place for numerous playful monkeys
Important Cities: N/A The Hylandale elves are nomadic tribesman, living off the land and protecting their ill-defined borders.
Population: Primarily elves and creatures of the fey. Rarely do humans establish settlements and dwarves won’t set foot in Hylandale lands.
Hylandale has made many attempts to keep to themselves and not interfere with the rest of the world, but when their home began being torn down by would-be settlers the natives turned violent and slew a colonist. This one death sparked the war which pushed the elves back towards the ocean while causing simultaneous deforestation. When Sylvia witnessed the abhorrent destruction, she ended the war with a final display of power and attempted to once again seclude her people from the world outside her forests.
